What Is Sonic Boom Golf?

I have a bad back/shoulder/knee that causes me a lot of pain. Is it ok for me to participate in the Pure Power Program?

Multiple studies have show that regular exercise is an excellent strategy for managing and resolving chronic pain associated with various types of joint ailments. Regular exercise also helps in postponing the degenerative processes that happen to our lumbar disks, cartilage and joints in general as we age. It is always best to discuss your specific situation with a doctor to ensure that you are able to participate in a strength and conditioning program. When you are ready to join the Pure Power Program you will have workouts that are designed to strengthen and help protect the most injury prone areas of the body. As a member, you will also receive nutritional advice that has been proven to help in the management and prevention of pain/degeneration in the joints.




Am I too old to realize any benefits from the Pure Power Program?

Absolutely not. In fact, the older you are the more you stand to benefit from the Pure Power Program. As we get older other obligations, such as family and work, consume most of our days leaving little time left over for exercise. As a result many adults have low strength, flexibility and balance levels. Since the Pure Power Program is designed to give you a great golf-specific workout in less than an hour you will have no problem fitting it into your day. It is never too late to improve you general health and well being along with your golf game. All it requires is a little commitment and motivation and you will be realizing better health, less pain, more distance and lower scores in no time.




How old do you have to be to participate in the Pure Power Program?

There is no age minimum to participate in the Pure Power Program. Our Junior Pure Power Program is the answer to the special needs of the developing golfer.

Multiple studies have shown that strength training exercises, when performed properly, can be extremely beneficial for the beginner golfer and can help accelerate the technical development of the golf swing through increased/accelerated nervous system development/recruitment.

It is of the utmost importance that if the young golfer wants to participate in a strength and conditioning program that the safety of the overall program is considered first and foremost.

The Junior Pure Power Program will not endanger the growth plates, developing joints or growing ligaments/tendons of the young golfer. Instead it will help in the development of bone mass, overall flexibility, balance, golf specific strength, joint integrity/stabilization, neural patters (skill development) and overall confidence levels.




How can you advise me on training and determine my starting point over the internet?

This is a very common and excellent question. When you become a member you will fill out our Golf Fitness Evaluation Questionnaire and from your answers a personal profile will be developed. Based on the answers you gave in the questionnaire we will suggest a workout level to you. This will help to ensure that you are doing the correct exercises and workouts for your given fitness level and will help avoid the too easy/hard workout situation.




I don't have a gym membership. Can I still participate in the Pure Power Program?

No gym is no problem with the Pure Power Program. Our Home Gym programs require only a stability ball and a medicine ball. You might not believe it, but we have created over 140 workouts designed to be done in your home using only these two pieces of equipment, which guarantees you incredible variety in your workouts.

The Full Gym programs, which also has over 140 workouts, will give you more exercise options in general, but both programs use very similar movements over similar ranges of motion. In short, both programs will bring you impressive improvements to your golf game in a very short period of time. You are guaranteed to receive workouts customized to the equipment you have available.




I haven't exercised in years. How long will it take for me to see results?

If you have not exercised in a while then you most likely have a low level of fitness. This basically means that your capacity to perform work and strength levels are low. Because of your lower starting point you will realize very rapid gains in strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, power and injury resistance when compared to a more advanced trainee. All this translates into rapid improvements in golf specific power and longer drives. Within three months of starting, the average Pure Power Program member:

  • Increases their ball speed by 9.5 MPH
  • Increases their driver distance by 20.9 yards

These facts illustrate a very important point: The Pure Power Program works for golfers of all levels and it delivers lasting results quickly.

What is the difference between your workouts and the workouts in the golf magazines?

The Pure Power Program is the complete golf performance enhancement program. While the typical golf magazine addresses the various components of golf performance mentioned above, they typically scatter the information across multiple small articles and issues. The Pure Power Program provides all the golf performance enhancement information you will ever need in one clean, concise package and also gives you the personal contact and follow up that you would be hard pressed to get from a magazine.

We include in the Pure Power Program the following features for every exercise we prescribe:

What Kind of Results Can I Expect?

You can experience significant, lasting results very quickly! Below is a graph highlighting the amount of improvement for various handicap levels over the time span of a year.

During the first 3 months the average Pure Power Program participant realized an increase in ball speed of 9.5 MPH (6.8%) over their initial ball speed. This translated into an average distance increase of 20.9 yards (9.6%)!

After one year in the Pure Power Program the average participant realized an increase in ball speed of 17.3 MPH (12.4%) over their initial ball speed. This gigantic increase in ball speed translated into a whopping 37.1 yard (14.7%) improvement over their initial distance.
