Hello, my name is Jason Krantz, founder of Sonic Boom Golf and creator of the Pure Power Program, the premier golf conditioning program on the internet. I am a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), which is the gold standard certification for athletic performance enhancement. I created the Pure Power Program to share with you, the avid golfer, the secrets that allow golfers of all levels to generate the explosive power and incredible accuracy that transforms golf games in an instant.

I have worked with golfers of various levels, including beginners, PGA Teaching Pros, and Long Drive competitors, to help maximize their power, resistance to injury, and overall golfing potential. My credential as an expert in power development in the golf swing is derived from:

  • The extensive amount of time I have personally spent training at an extremely high level of sport for years, specifically my time at the University of Oregon running sprints for one of the best track programs in the country.
  • Being exposed to some of the best speed/power coaches in the United States
  • Continuing my education as both a student and a teacher of golf performance enhancement.
  • Knowing through personal experience what does and does not work for golf power development

In short, my credentials are backed by real world training, extensive studying and personal experience.

In addition, I have been a golfer for twelve years and currently play to a single digit handicap. I am also competitor in Re/Max Long Drive events and have a personal best drive of 402 yards, maximum recorded swing speed of 151 MPH and maximum recorded ball speed of 213 MPH (Tiger Woods can get up to 180 MPH ball speed on a good day).

Since my pre-college days I have been training in advanced programs with some of the best strength and conditioning coaches the United States has to offer. I also created the Pure Power Program for the individual that suffers from lower back problems. I know from first hand experience the agonizing pain that is associated with serious lower back problems. I have experienced a wide variety of lower back issues, from cracked vertebrae to bulging disks. I know exactly what it means to not be able to bend over and pick up a piece of paper or even tie your shoes.

I realized that in order to fully enjoy golf into my golden years that I must be proactive in maintaining my back health at an early age. I created the Pure Power Program originally for myself to help get my back into shape and get rid of my lower back pain forever.

My goal when creating this new program was to combine the injury prevention and rehabilitation benefits from physical therapy programs with the power training programs I had used for years to make my body incredibly powerful for sprinting. I accomplished my goal and the Pure Power Program was born.
